Portugal
Lisbon and its surroundings
Portugal, and more specifically Lisbon and its region, was a travel experience that I truly loved, thanks to the gentleness and kindness of the people I met there.
There is a strong sense of family.
When I arrived in Lisbon mid-afternoon, I discovered a bistro tucked away in a discreet alley, where the tables were set up in a windowless but nevertheless bright back room. I was greeted by a man behind the bar, who directed me to the room where I could see his wife finishing her lunch, both of them smiling warmly at me.
Before I arrived, I was eager to try a recommended dish, the grilled octopus (absolutely fabulous!).
Being alone in the room, the husband brought the dish to me on a tray and served it with such attention that I was almost his son, before placing it on the table.
To this day, I smile when I think about it. This moment, although simple, is emblematic of a multitude of details that have captivated my attention throughout my stay.
This trip made in 2019, between city and nature, was a real favorite !
