Normandy
Normandy, with its wind-influenced weather changes, its fine sandy beaches, and its lush and varied vegetation, evokes a landscape of gentleness, calm and serenity. It feels good to someone like me, who grew up in Paris.
In his photographs, a strong poetic dimension emerges, similar to what I perceive, and that I try to capture with my camera.
These images were taken between 2019 and 2020.
The French Riviera
The Côte d'Azur, where I was able to visit Antibes, Nice, as well as the village of Biot in 2016.
The opportunity for me to get some sun and enjoy the richness of colors that certain places offer.
A pleasure for me to walk along the coasts, observe the sea, visit the heart of the old towns that I find warm because of their human scale, and also enjoy this nature typical of the South where flowers of an intense color such as the bougainvillea bloom.
The Basque Country
The Basque Country, a trip made in 2016 between Bayonne, Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Biarritz and San Sebastián.
An unforgettable taste experience with its cuisine, its aperitif dinners, its chocolate museum, and many other pleasures.
A stay in this region where life is good with friends, with a pleasant climate, its beaches and an ocean with fresh waters, perfect for waves and surfers of all ages. I think that these summer holidays are perfectly reflected through these images.
Reunion Island
This is a wonderful island with its eclecticism, rich in the diversity of horizons brought by its inhabitants, with a sunny climate and varied and enchanting landscapes, all in a relaxed atmosphere.
One day particularly struck me: the ascent to the Piton de Bert to admire the lava flow of the Piton de la Fournaise. Before even reaching the summit, we discover five different landscapes, starting with the coastal town, then the mountain roads and villages shrouded in mist, followed by the plains with farms sheltering cows similar to those in Normandy, then a dense coniferous forest.
Finally, at the summit, a lunar panorama of burnt lands is offered to us, all this in a single climb, it is impressive !
